Yandex Products Now Shows Delivery Info. Don't Sleep on This

Yandex quietly rolled out an update that most e-commerce projects will sleep on. That's a mistake.

You can now add delivery information to your store in Yandex Products — and it starts showing up directly in organic search. In snippets, in product blocks. Desktop only for now, mobile is promised soon. Sounds like a minor technical detail. In reality, it's a direct conversion lever that's currently just sitting on the ground, unclaimed by almost everyone.

Why this isn't "just another checkbox in the dashboard"

76% of buyers look at delivery terms when deciding where to buy. That's not my guess — that's the number from Yandex's official announcement. And it makes sense: the person has already decided they want the product. What's left is choosing between stores. And one of the first questions in their head is — will it arrive fast, is there a pickup point nearby, how much will it cost.

If that information is visible right in search results, before anyone even clicks through to your site — you either cut yourself out of the choice right away, or you steal a click from a competitor who doesn't have this block filled in. This is one of those cases where SEO stops being just about rankings and starts being about money directly, without the middleman of "well, the site's conversion rate will handle the rest."

What you actually need to do

Nothing rocket science, but it needs care, not a checkbox-ticking approach:

  • Go to the "Stores" section in Yandex Products and fill in delivery methods — per region, not one line covering the whole country.
  • List the actual delivery services and pickup points your store really works with. Not "delivery across the country" — specifics.
  • Check that the data is accurate for the regions you actually ship to. A gap between what's shown in search and what happens on your site at checkout is a direct hit to trust — and to your return rate.
  • If your site supports delivery microdata — add structured data in the code. That gives Yandex another source to confirm the info, not just the dashboard.
  • And the part people skip most often: watch the impressions and click stats from these enriched snippets in Yandex Products analytics. Fill it in and forget it — doesn't work. You need to see whether the delivery block is actually moving your CTR, and adjust.

My take

Yandex rolls out updates like this regularly, and most stores skip them — not because they don't want the traffic, but because it feels minor next to the "big" tasks: content, links, technical work. But these small things are exactly where it gets decided, in e-commerce, whether someone clicks you or the guy next to you in search.

There's no magic here, no secret. There's a tool Yandex handed out for free, and there's a choice — spend an hour filling in the "Stores" section, or leave that ground to competitors who got to it first. In my experience, these "simple technical fixes" almost always pay off faster than you'd expect — simply because there's less competition for them than for content or links.

If you're running an e-commerce project and you're not sure your structured data and product feeds are set up right — this is one of those cases where a full technical audit beats losing customers over something this basic. You can reach out for an audit and SEO setup for your online store.
